Puff Pastry Apple Tart! Puff pastry can be used in so many different ways. It is found in the freezer section of the grocery stores and normally there are two sheets in one package. You can use puff pastry to make appetizers, main dishes, and of course desserts.

In this blog post, I’m sharing two different ways to use puff pastry. These recipes are perfect for brunch and are perfect with cup of tea or coffee.

Puff Pastry Apple Tart

Instruction:

  • Cut one sheet of puff pastry (thawed) into four pieces and fold each side to make a bed for the apples we’ll be adding later. Bake it for 10 minutes at 350 degrees F.
  • Remove from oven and spread apple sauce on the puff pastry and add apple slices.
  • In a small bowl mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 teaspoon of brown sugar and spread on the apples. Add more or less of either of cinnamon or brown sugar to your liking.
  • Whisk one egg yolk and brush it on all sides of the puff pastry to get the golden color once baked.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden and apples are softened.
  • Add a scoop of ice cream or powder sugar on top and enjoy!

Braided Cranberry Puff Pastry

Instruction:

  • Take the puff pastry out of the freezer and let it thaw per package instructions.
  • Roll out one puff pastry sheet and place it on a lined baking sheet.
  • Spread cranberry jam on the middle part of puff pastry. I used homemade cranberry jam, but you can use any jam you have.
  • Cut 1 inch sections from the center out and start braiding. Start from the bottom and bring once piece at a time across the center.
  • After you’re done braiding, use a pastry brush to brush an egg yolk over the top and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden.

Recipe- 
- cooked shredded chicken breast
- 1-2 jalapeños, chopped finely
- 2 tbsp cream soft, soften
- bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded Mexican style cheese blend
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt & black pepper
- tortillas, I used almond flour
- cilantro for garnish

Mix all of the ingredients together and assemble the tacos. Place on a baking sheet, spray with oil and bake at 425 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until crispy.

Recipe-
2 1/2 cups oats 
1 cup coconut flour 
1/4 cup honey 
1/2 cup melted coconut oil 
2 tbsp peanut butter 
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract 
1/8 tsp salt
Your favorite jam! 

Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees F, cool, add ham and then bake 15 more minutes. Let cool completely before slicing!

Lemon Garlic Roasted Potatoes with Burrata 
- potatoes- cut into cubes
- salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp avocado oil 
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- fresh dill, chopped
- 1 lemon, juiced
- burrata cheese

 Roast at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. Add sauce and continue roasting for additional 20 minutes or until crispy and golden!
