HELLO, AND WELCOME TO MY KITCHEN!

I’m Sherly! Recipe developer and content creator behind The Healthy-ish Food! I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona with my husband Maykel. I earned my Masters of Public Health degree with concentration in Health Education.

Some quick facts about me: I am Assyrian. My husband, Maykel, and I met in college. After grad school, I worked at a non-profit until the 2020 pandemic happened. Thats when I started sharing pictures of my food on Instagram. I became a full-time recipe content creator in 2023.

I am a strong believer in a balanced diet. I believe in making healthy lifestyle choices, because our choices determine our overall health. Over the years I have really focused on reading the ingredients list on food items and I do my best to purchase products that use minimal and real ingredients. After all we are what we eat and we only have one body so we need to take care of our bodies. With that being said, I never really deprive myself of anything. Whether it’s a donut or pizza!

Recipe- 
- cooked shredded chicken breast
- 1-2 jalapeños, chopped finely
- 2 tbsp cream soft, soften
- bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded Mexican style cheese blend
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt & black pepper
- tortillas, I used almond flour
- cilantro for garnish

Mix all of the ingredients together and assemble the tacos. Place on a baking sheet, spray with oil and bake at 425 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until crispy.

Recipe-
2 1/2 cups oats 
1 cup coconut flour 
1/4 cup honey 
1/2 cup melted coconut oil 
2 tbsp peanut butter 
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract 
1/8 tsp salt
Your favorite jam! 

Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees F, cool, add ham and then bake 15 more minutes. Let cool completely before slicing!

Lemon Garlic Roasted Potatoes with Burrata 
- potatoes- cut into cubes
- salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp avocado oil 
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- fresh dill, chopped
- 1 lemon, juiced
- burrata cheese

 Roast at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. Add sauce and continue roasting for additional 20 minutes or until crispy and golden!

Recipe-
1 sheet of puff pastry 
Berries of your choice 
Egg wash 
Sliced almonds 
Turbinado sugar 
Powder sugar 
Vanilla ice cream 

Bake at 375 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy!
