Turkey Meatballs and Pasta in Tomato Sauce
These turkey meatballs are tender and a great alternative to regular meatballs. They are filled with parmesan cheese and onion and seasoned with oregano and thyme. Cooked in under 45 minutes and in one pan.

- 1 lb ground turkey
- ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- ⅓ cup bread crumbs
- ½ cup diced tomato can with juice
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- ¼ cup green onion, chopped
- ⅛ cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt & pepper
- cooked pasta
In a large bowl, add turkey, egg, parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, half of the onion, green onion, oregano, thyme, salt & pepper. Using your hands combine all the ingredients together until well mixed. Form into meatballs using an ice cream scoop.
In a large pan over medium heat, add olive oil and brown the meatballs on all sides.
To the pan add the other half of the onion, tomato paste, diced tomato, and chicken stock and bring to boil then simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stirring occasionally. Sprinkle some cilantro or parsley and grated parmesan cheese and serve over pasta or rice.
