This Greek Gyro Chicken Salad recipe is simple, yet full of flavors! The yogurt tzatziki sauce is easy and makes this salad so delicious. This recipe is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or meal prep lunch or dinner.
Ingredients for Greek Gyro Chicken Salad
Chicken Gyro
- Chicken breast: you can also use boneless skinless chicken thigh
- Smoked paprika
- Paprika
- Dried oregano
- Red pepper flakes
- Salt & black pepper
- Olive oil
Greek yogurt Tzatziki sauce
- Greek yogurt
- Feta cheese
- Dill
- Lemon juice
- Garlic powder
Salad
- Spring mix
- Olives
- Cherry tomatoes
- Other toppings: cucumbers, red onion, avocado
How to make the chicken and sauce
- In a bowl add the chicken, seasonings, lemon juice, and olive oil. Make sure the chicken is mixed well with all the seasonings and marinate it for 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator. You can also marinate it overnight!
- While your chicken is marinating, make the sauce. In a food processor, add the yogurt, cheese, garlic powder, dill, and lemon juice and blend until smooth and creamy. Refrigerator the sauce until you’re ready to serve.
- In a large pan over medium heat, add olive oil and let it heat up before adding the chicken. You want the pan to be hot for the chicken! Add the chicken to the pan and let it cook on both sides or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. The chicken needs to fully cook so let it cook!
- To make the salad, add spring mix or lettuce, add the chicken, cherry tomatoes, olives and top it off with the sauce. You can even squeeze some lemon juice on top!
I chose to add my Greek Gyro Chicken to salad, but this chicken will be absolutely delicious in a warm pita. To create the Gyro, add the chicken, lettuce, sliced red onion, and top it with this yogurt feta sauce and squeeze of lemon and enjoy!

- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp paprika

Salad
- spring mix

Greek yogurt feta sauce
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 8 oz feta cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/8 cup fresh dill, chopped
