Snickerdoodle Cookies are soft, chewy, and coated with cinnamon sugar. These cookies are easy and loved by everyone. They are a classic holiday cookies.

Snickerdoodle Cookies

These cookies are similar to sugar cookies, but they have a special ingredient, cream of tartar! Do not SKIP this ingredient. Cream of tartar gives the cookies the texture.

How to make Snickerdoodle Cookies:

  1. Using a hand mixer or standing mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. If you’re using a standing mixer, use the paddle attachment.
  2. Add vanilla extract and egg and beat until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, add flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and cinnamon and mix. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. You can chill this dough for 20-30 minutes or you can start rolling it into small balls right away! If your dough is too soft, go ahead and chill the dough.
  5. Using a small ice cream scoop or 1 tablespoon spoon, form the dough into small balls and roll into sugar and cinnamon mixture. This mixture is 2 tablespoon of sugar and 2 tablespoon of cinnamon.
  6. Place the cookies on a lined baking sheet. You can press them down with a fork or leave them as balls.
  7. Bake them at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes or until slightly golden. These cookies will continue baking once removed from oven, so do not over-bake them in the oven.

These cookies are such a classic during the holidays. The cinnamon in these cookies is absolutely divine. The cookies are also tangy! They are a perfect holiday recipe to recreate with children. They can roll them into small balls and roll them into the cinnamon and sugar mixture. I hope you recreate this recipe and enjoy it with your family and friends!

Gruyère Phyllo Bites with Pistachios, Almonds & Ho Gruyère Phyllo Bites with Pistachios, Almonds & Honey 🍯✨🎄

These festive Gruyère Phyllo Bites are the perfect holiday appetizer: crispy, buttery layers of baked phyllo filled with creamy melted Gruyère, a bright, sweet-savory mix of pistachios, roasted almonds and dried cranberries, topped with a drizzle of honey. They’re simple, elegant, and ideal for any holiday gathering.

Makes 12 pieces | Festive & perfect for holiday entertaining ✨

Ingredients:
6 sheets @athens_foods Phyllo Dough, thawed according to package instructions
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1 ½ cups Gruyère cheese, shredded
3 tablespoons roasted pistachios, finely chopped
3 tablespoons roasted almonds, finely chopped
2 tablespoons dried cranberries
2–3 tablespoons honey, for drizzling
Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions:
1. Thaw one roll of phyllo, following thawing instructions on package. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin. Unroll phyllo sheets and cover with plastic wrap, then a slightly damp towel to prevent drying out. Lay one phyllo sheet on a clean surface and lightly brush with melted butter. Layer another sheet on top, brush with butter, and continue until you have 6 buttered sheets total.
2. Add the filling: Evenly sprinkle the entire layered sheet stack with Gruyère, pistachios, almonds, and dried cranberries, leaving about ½ inch border along one long edge.
3. Roll into a log: Starting from the long edge without the border, gently roll the phyllo into a tight log (like a jelly roll). Brush the outside of the log with a little more melted butter to seal.
4. Slice into spirals: Using a sharp serrated knife, cut the log into 12 equal pieces. Place each slice cut-side up into the greased muffin tin.
5. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the spirals are deep golden brown and crispy.
6. Finish & serve: Drizzle warm spirals with honey. Add a pinch of flaky sea salt if desired.
