Total Time 2 hours hrs 25 minutes mins
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 ¾ cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- ¾ cup walnuts, chopped
In a small sauce pan, add your butter and melt over medium heat. As the butter starts to melt it will change colors and that's when you want to remove it from the heat. Your butter will be slightly brown and release nutty scent. Set the pan to the side and let it cool or transfer to a bowl to fasten the process of cooling.
Add the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla to a bowl and whisk until well combined.
Add baking soda to flour and mix and transfer to the wet ingredients and mix the mixture, but DO NOT OVER MIX!
Add the chocolate chips and walnuts and fold the batter until well combined.
Chill the dough for at least 2 hours.
Once the dough has chilled, use an ice cream scoop and scoop out mixture and roll into balls and place on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 10-11 minutes or until cookies are slightly golden. They'll continue baking once removed from the oven.
